Operations Meeting

The Operations Meeting serves as a collaborative platform for utilities and excavators to discuss the functionality of the Missouri 811 system. Rather than serving as a complaint forum, it focuses on generating ideas to enhance the notification system’s operations, acknowledging that some suggestions may intersect with legislative or policy matters.

The Process

Ideas are evaluated and discussed, and if deemed viable and straightforward, they may be implemented operationally immediately. Alternatively, they may be refined and submitted to the Missouri 811 Technical Committee for review. If a policy change is required, the proposal is then presented to the Missouri 811 Board of Directors for approval.

The Operations Meetings are chaired by the Operations Meeting Chair. Typically, the Missouri 811 Executive Director and the Manager of the Call Center are regular participants.
